We’re a small company and we don’t mass produce our products. Everything is ‘made to order’. Windwings dramatically decrease the “wind in your face” factor and make driving more enjoyable, especially over a long distance.
Our windwing sets were designed to be used on the T bucket windshield frames sold by Speedway, but should work on most any frame with a round 1in diameter frame. You may want the distance between the mounts holes on the plexiglass changed to fit your application, which we will change free of charge. The current distance between the holes is about 5.75 in.
Our kits come in clear and smoked plexiglass but other colors are available on request for an additional $10 charge, ie: yellow, red.
Our kits, if installed correctly, should not scratch the chrome on your windshield frame. Other frames require a set screw be clamped onto the frame, ours has no screws touching or clamping to the frame and come with rubber inserts to protect your chrome.
Kits provide a non adjustable rear angle of @ 15-20deg but can be mounted with no rear angle if so desired.
Kits with painted brackets are $400.00 plus shipping. Order to ship time is @10 working days. These brackets can be shaved on the ends to provide a steeper sweep angle if necessary.
We recommend putting a small piece of clear tape on the glass side of the brackets to prevent any scratching on the plexiglass.
If you’re using the painted brackets, check all edges for burrs before mounting. On the inside of the curve you will notice some center punch marks one . two .. three … and none. These are all hand made and the dots represent a pair, tho they should match up pretty close anyway.
DO NOT USE GLASS CLEANER ON THE PLEXIGLASS. Clean with soap and water only.
